I clicked a lot of them. I own three or four of the ones mentioned.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have problems with finding a place to rent this type of movies in the states. Any ideas, with the exception of buying on Amazon, where I might find some of these movies?
ReplyDeleteYou might want to try your local library. I was pleasantly surprised to find a large selection of foreign/bbc films.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, your best bet is Netflix. Blockbuster has a horrid selection of period films--they actually told me they don't own anything "old."
ReplyDeleteWow! I've seen LOTS of them!!! But can you believe it? I STILL haven't seen The King's Speech...aaaaackkkk!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen 12 of these. I love royal films! I only own Victoria & Albert and The Young Victoria but there's definitely several here that I want to own. I loved The Kings Speech and can't wait to watch it with my dad soon. I also want to buy Bertie & Elizabeth and The Lost Prince. I've also seen a couple TV movies about Charles, Diana and their sons.

Old-Fashioned Charm
I adored Lady Jane although I know it wasn't historically correct, but wouldn't we all have loved to have Cary Elwes as our "consort"?
ReplyDeleteAlso loved Victoria and Albert...The Lost Prince...Shakespeare in Love...The Queen...Mrs. Brown...too many!
Apparently still lots I have not yet seen. Period drama is a huge category isn't it?
Would love to see The Lost Prince but I haven't been able to find it yet.
ReplyDeleteI've seen quite a few of them, but my favourites were "The Young Victoria" and "Lady Jane"- Helena Bonham Carter and Cary Elwes had such great chemistry in "Lady Jane" and not to mention Cary is dangerously goodlooking :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen ALL of them and own most except The Princes in the Tower.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your votes and comments everyone!
ReplyDeleteAnon,
Lost Prince is on Youtube if you like, it's one of my faves! http://www.youtube.com/user/TheVictorianLady2#g/c/8CF1426BF014C3B3
Good Grief Charlie Brown! I've seen all but 5 of those movies. Guess I'm a fan of the Monarchy!! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI guess you are! And best part is you're not alone in loving these films!
I have seen all but seven of these films and own nearly half! I can't tell if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but at least I am in good company!!
ReplyDeleteAgree that Netflix carries most if not all of these films and if they don't carry it, you can submit a request asking them to carry it. That doesn't guarantee that they will, but it sends a message. (They carry a LOT of the BBC Acorn videos.)
