This theory bothers me so much, and yet the movie looks intriguing. The problem, of course, is that people will take it as gospel and not as an interesting, if not unproven and unproveable, theory.

ReplyDeleteI'm curious by the fact that the director and some of the cast seem convinced that De Vere is the real author! The film also toys with the portrayal of Elizabeth I which I'm not keen on. Will be interesting to watch!

A great idea for a movie. Even it's not true! The mysteries and ambiguities in the art were created for us to rebuild them again and again. Some kind of art's recycling

ReplyDeleteLooks like it could be a great film. Will not convince me however. Why cannot a glove maker's son be Shakespeare? Why must it be a peer of the realm? Harrumph!
