Hallmark is planning to air their own tv biopic of the royal couple in August of this year (originally titled "William & Kate: A Royal Love Story"). Hopefully, it will be an improvement over Lifetime's tv movie that has already aired.
Said to be a biographical film that also explores the nuances of the modern monarchy. "The love story of Prince William and Kate Middleton, ... in the biggest royal wedding since Charles and Diana, chronicles the pair as young students at St. Andrews, William's Army training at Sandhurst Military Academy, their break-up, reunification, engagement and planning of royal nuptials, and advice from William's grandmother, the Queen," -- Barbara Fisher, Hallmark
Produced by Linda Yellen (Playing for Time, Royal Romance of Charles and Diana) and Brad Krevoy (Taking Chance).
(Coincindentally, Lady Alice St. Clair-Erskine is the daughter of Peter (Lord Loughborough),commander of the division of Scotland Yard that protects the royal family.)

I see an Emmy in the works for the makeup artist in charge of transforming Victor Garber and Jean Smart. :-) I really do hope this one's better than the Lifetime one.
ReplyDeleteOkay, these actors look even less like the royal family than the actors in the Lifetime Movie. Although I'm sure that Victor Garbor will do a stellar job as Prince Charles.
ReplyDeleteI love Victor Garber but I have a hard time imagining him in this role.
ReplyDeleteLOL Based on the casting alone, this is another tragedy in the works!
ReplyDeleteI never saw the Lifetime movie but this made me laugh (and if those lines are accurate, I don't think I need to see it).
ReplyDeletePerhaps Victor Garber and Jean Smart can make Charles and Camilla sympathetic, I will watch just to see them try. They are both skilled actors and will need all their talent to carry this off!
ReplyDeleteI dont understand the why the gril who is playing Kate has Short hair that is the biggest mistake yet...
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find tyhis movie.I've seen the other version, but they didn't air here in Brazil.Do you know any site that I can watch it?thanks
ReplyDeleteanyone know where i can watch this as not shown in uk
