Hats designed by Philip Treacy

Now THESE are the hats that I would have loved to see decked out on the heads of the ladies at the royal wedding!! Renowned milliner Philip Treacy created hats for 36 guests who attended the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, including the now infamous hat worn by Princess Beatrice and other guests shown at bottom of post.

Wouldn't it have been lovely to see these hats at the wedding?

~ Hats designed by Treacy, worn at wedding of Will & Kate ~

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

Zara Phillips, Princess Michael of Kent, Duchess of Westminster, Lady Frederick Windsor

Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Princess Mathilde of Belgium,
Victoria Beckham, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson

When asked about hats made for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Treacy replied, “My inspiration was beauty and elegance it’s a 21st century royal wedding... No, they didn’t tell me [what they wanted] because I’ve known them for a long time and I wanted them to look gorgeous and beautiful. They trusted me to make them. Gorgeous and beautiful can be open to interpretation … I thought they looked gorgeous and beautiful. But no one is crying if anyone didn’t.” (Hollywood Life)

Thanks to Jenny from Jane Austen Movie Blog for mentioning Treacy's site!
She loves movies and hats as much as I do!

  1. The black & white ones make me think of My Fair Lady. What I would give to have been an extra wearing those dresses & hats.

  2. I wish hats would make a comeback for women and men. We all need more sun protection these days so it only makes sense!
I liked Camilla's hat but some of those artsy ones are too avant garde for me! LOL
