BBC Period Dramas Trailer

Here's a fan-made "trailer" of some of the best BBC Period Dramas,
created oh so skillfully by Skipmaus!

A wonderful montage of the following great miniseries:
Wives & Daughters (1999)
Bleak House (2005)
North & South (2005)
Jane Eyre (2006)
Sense & Sensibility (2008)
Little Dorrit (2008)
Emma (2009)

Which is your favourite?
Have you seen all of them?

  1. This is stunningly beautiful! What an amazing piece of work! These are all my favorites, I've seen these dramas so many times! My least favorite would be Jane Eyre. My favorite might be Emma or Little Dorrit but I love all of these miniseries!
Thanks so much for posting this, I really enjoyed watching! :)

  3. I have seen them all. And love them all! And now want to go watch each one again even though I watched two of them in the last couple of weeks. :-) I don't think I could pick a favorite! But if I was only allowed one of those to watch for the rest of my life, then, um...... I believe I would pick W&D.

  4. Just had a thought ... Charleybrown, Have you heard anything about the BBC4 adaptation of DH Lawrence's Women in Love, by any chance? I thought it was supposed to come out "this winter", but we're into spring now and I still haven't a clue when it'll be on, or if it's actually already been on but I've missed it. :/

  5. I've only seen parts of Bleak House (think now I need to see all of it) but otherwise seen them all. Really well put together video. I think W&D is my forever favorite, it's what started me off on costume dramas when it came out when I was 13.

  6. Traxy, I've heard of Women in Love but I've not been tracking it. It's too bad but there's quite a few period dramas coming out that won't be on my radar because of their content.

  9. I would say all of them but most of all "North and South" :) one cannot help on falling in love with the characters... I did not know there was a book so it is my first mistake of "seing the movie before reading the book"... somehow I do not mind it :)
