Downton Abbey fanvid - This Is Not Goodbye

What?! It's Sunday night and Downton's not on? Only a silly game with a pigskin being tossed around and plenty of expensive ads?

Thanks to larkrise38 for creating this fanvid for Downton Abbey and remember "This Is Not Goodbye", Season 2 will return, it's just a matter of time!

Perhaps you'd like to fill the void by watching this special Maid in Britain, an hour long special that aired not too long ago. I thought it to be a worthwhile watch!

"A look at how domestic servants have been portrayed on television, from The Forsyte Saga in the 60s to Downton Abbey and Upstairs, Downstairs today. Why are butlers, cooks and nannies such staples of TV drama, long after their real-life roles have declined? Are these shows socially relevant or mere escapism, and how accurately does television reflect the experiences of real-life servants? "

  2. I can't wait to see Downton Abbey! I've read all your posts about it with great anticipation, but I guess it will take some time before it is on TV or DVD here in Finland.

Btw, thanks for the great blog, I found it through a friend in January and spent the last month reading through all the posts starting from the beginning. Now I have something like 30 new films and series on my have to see list.
