Cater Street Hangman

Set in 1881, Inspector Pitt (Eoin McCarthy) is a working-class police detective in Victorian London, investigating a series of murders of young girls. The only thing the victims share are recent visits to the same vicarage in a wealthy neighborhood. With the help of headstrong, aristocratic Charlotte Ellison (Keeley Hawes), Pitt races to find the culprit before another girl is killed. To his surprise, he becomes the object of Ellison's affection along the way.

  1. I watched this quite a while ago and really enjoyed it! I love mysteries and Keeley Hawes was excellent. It was a fairly simple drama but the ending fairly took me by surprise!

  3. I had read the book first and was suprised at how good a rendition this was. Some Events kinda happened in a different order but that always happens when going from book to movie.. But the character portrayal was excellent. I felt both the main actors captured the essence of the characters and it is a very good mystery. When I read the book, it took me a while to figure it out.
