The King's Speech - reviews

Can you tell that I'm getting excited for this? As we get a hold of the first reviews for this upcoming biopic, my anticipation is building!

The King's Speech made its debut at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado and is about to premiere in Toronto for TIFF. I'm pleased to read a couple of reviews that seem promising as this film has been predicted by a few already for being recognized at Oscar time!

and Helena Bonham Carter (Queen Elizabeth)

  5. Oh, I cannot wait to see this movie! Hopefully the US release date won't be too much of a limited release, and it'll get to my area by Christmas at least...going to keep my fingers crossed!

  6. Ruth, this reminds me of waiting for The Young Victoria last year but I have a feeling/hope that this film will receive more marketing and subsequently more screens! Especially after Firth's strong showing at last year's Oscars :)

  7. Can anyone say when this movie will be released nationwide in US. It had limited release on Nov 26, but it must be so limited no one knows where it is. It will be released nationwide in UK on Jan 7 2011.

    I know there are others complaining that the wide release promised for the U.S. for December 10 is not happening in enough cities. Perhaps you could find out more on the facebook group? http://www.facebook.com/TheKingsSpeech
