Since it's produced by Fox, I think it's alright. There would be at least one Caucasian face. Besides, it's an international collaboration. I mean, we could say that Jun Ji-Hyun shouldn't be here as well because the characters are Chinese. So, if she, a Korean can play a Chinese, the role can be adapted for Hugh Jackman.

ReplyDeleteI anxiously await the DVD. This was a favorite Asian novel of mine and thought it would be something great to see on the big screen.

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting too. There's a local theatre that plays independent films and it hasn't arrived yet. I'm still hopeful that the film will have wider distribution!
