OK - so the first ep of [spooks] I ever saw was one with Adam (RPJ) and became intrigued and eventually saw a couple more episodes from series 6.
ReplyDeleteI then decided to check out more series and started at the beginning with series 1. I patiently (& with great help of my library) made my way through all the series. Also, at the same time, I was able to watch the current series (7&8) on bbccanada.
[spooks] lead me to check out other projects that several of the actors were involved in - N&S of course, P&P, Persuasion, TWWLN, and one of the great delights I discovered was W&D!
A modern show reminded me of my love of Austen & Dickens, and opened my eyes to Gaskell & Trollope. I have a even re-discovered Shakespeare (which I loathed in high school) and have even read some novels set in medival times (which I had never been a big fan of
There are so many other projects I could mention but really [spooks] introduced me to a great treasure trove of books/authors/tv projects/movies/actors.
