Congratulations to Martin Scorcese who will be receiving the Cecil B. Demille award of Lifetime Achievement at the next year's Golden Globe Awards. Scorcese is one of the producers of The Young Victoria which has a new extended trailer

Willoughby's Return (A Sense & Sensibility Sequel) was published on November 1st! This is the second novel for author Jane Odiwe, who also penned Lydia Bennett's Story. Visit her blog for more details!

The Pacific (2010)
- a miniseries produced by Spielberg and Tom Hanks "Whereas Band of Brothers focused on Army's involvement in the European Theater of Operations, the new series will be about the Marine Corps's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations."



Untitled Bronte project
"about the relationships between the four Bronte children and Angria the miniature fictional children's world that they created," (source: THR) Note: this is a different film than the Bronte biopic written by Angela Workman.

Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010)
Emma Thompson resumes her role as McPhee, joined by Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Maggie Smith, Rhys Ifans.

Coriolanus
Gerard Butler will star in Ralph Fiennes' directorial debut, a contemporary version of Shakespeare's Rome-set political and family drama. Also featuring: William Hurt, Eddie Marsan, Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Redgrave.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls
Found out on Jane Austen Today that oh dear, there's even a prequel. Not to mention the movie in the works.

Emma and Nelson (2011)
-Julian Fellowes is working on a script for this 18th century biopic about Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton

Greek Fire (2011)
-biopic of Maria Callas,(opera singer, linked to Aristotle Onassis) with Eva Mendes rumored to star. Written by Julian Fellowes - Telegraph
