Next week my daugh
ter and I are headed to Montreal and are definitely planning to visit St. Joseph's Oratory while we're there. My mother showed me this picture of a visit made to the Oratory by Maria von Trapp and her family back in 1946.

You can also notice Fr. Franz Wasner (left in the photo) who was their personal chaplain and musical director. (The film changed him into Max Detweiler.) You'll also notice that the family are wearing their performing outfits.
