I guess this is a rough cut trailer for Ben Hur. I have to say the trailer doesn't look as good as the early stills I've seen.

Sarah, I don't know when this series is being released. I think this is an early trailer. I guess you're right about Joseph Morgan being in MP but I haven't seen that one.
ReplyDeleteI admit the trailer doesn't excite me as much as I had hoped.
It looks like it might be good, but I don't think I'll see it. I was obsessed with the 1959 film as a thirteen-year-old (it was the only film I watched...once a week...for almost a year) that I just don't think this one would be able to "cut it". Plus I am a ginormous Charlton Heston fan and...I'm sorry...being the fan of both CH and Ben-Hur that I am, I just feel like he's the only guy who "is" Ben-Hur. So it's totally nothing against the new film itself here. In and of itself it looks good. I just am too loyal to the memory of the film (and the man) that mesmerized me back then. ;-)

ReplyDeleteMaybe James Cameron can give this movie a go. This or the Ten Commandments. I'm not religious, but I always thought they were great action adventure movies that could use a good $300.000.000 remake.
